Purgenius is a medical device, complying with the Biocidal Products Directive. It is intended for treatment center biofilm control and water purification and is safe to be used as such. Purgenius is produced in accordance with the Medical Device Directive 93/42/ EEC and EN ISO 13485 and in accordance with Dental Units – Water and air supply – EN ISO 7494.
Purgenius Pro solves two challenges in one – the need for built-in disinfection system and air-gap solution, which is compulsory in some regions, with one external device.
- Removes 100 μm particles
- Removes old chlorine residue and colour
- Removes calcium
- Removes 1 μm particles
- Removes and kills microorganisms with its 0.2 μm filter
- Produces disinfection
- Reduces biofilm
The disinfection system can be used for treatment units that have not been cleaned against biofilm and pathogenic organisms in such manner before, as well as to maintain new ones.
Purgenius is designed for use with one or two units and when coupled with Booster 6 it can serve up to 6 treatment units.
Purgenius can be connected to any FONA treatment unit. As an external device, it is completely independent from the treatment center water unit size and suction system used. With flexible installation, it can be connected chairside or outside of the treatment room.
The unique use of free chlorine, produced by Purgenius from tap water as disinfectant, is both ecological and safe for the patient and user.
Not only patients but also dentists are exposed to microorganisms found in instrument cooling water. Reducing microorganisms protects the health of both, while at the same time removing calcium and particles, protecting your instruments and treatment unit from issues caused by sediments.
